SaaS Service On-Boarding

This section will help you to understatnd how you can on-board a service using JSC file. You can on-board a service in Source Marketplace or directly into your Target Marketplace using SIE tool.

Pre-request:

  • You should have JSC file handy.
  • You have to a create On-Demand provider in Source or Target Marketplace for each providers (If you created a provider in Target then you don’t have to create another one again in Source Marketplace).
  • Source Marketplace Pivotpath credentials to access SIE tool. You will get these credentials from Jamcracker Support team.
  • You should have Service Configuration Guide (SCG) / Implementation Guide (IG) to refer to.

Creating On-Demand Provider/Service Provider/Solution Provider/Content Provider

To create On-Demand provider follow the below steps:

  1. Login to Source Marketplace and navigate to Administration > Member Management page and click Add.

Fill in the details as per the IG/SCG. And make sure you have updated the below pointers as mentioned.

  1. Company Acronym: You have to update the proper acronym for SAAS service (as per the service configuration guide)
  2. Provider Type: Select the provider type as SAAS (In case if you have selected IaaS/PaaS for SAAS service then the order will fail for the service.)
  3. Email Address: If you don’t have the provider’s valid email you can give invalid and proceed. You can change the email ID any time (Ex. Valid ID - admin@microsoft.com, In Valid ID - admin@microsoft.tmp).

  4. Click Save.

    Approving On demand Provider

  5. Once you provide all the required details click Save it will be redirect you to Member Management page and the Provider which you created will be ready for approval.
  6. Navigate to Administration > Company Requests to approve the provider.

  7. Once the on-demand provider is ready, you can start on-boarding service.

Importing Service into SIEpro Tool

The below steps will guide you on how to on-board a service using JSC file.

To access SIE tool, login to the PivotPath using Source Marketplace credentials or login to Source Marketplace and launch PivotPath. After logging in navigate to My Services page and you will be able to see the Service Import Export service, click to launch SIE tool a new window pop-up will open,

On the Import Service tab, select the details as needed, refer below steps:

1st Drop-down: Select Marketplace Name

  • Select the Marketplace (Target/Source) where you would like to on-board the service using jsc file.
Note: Make sure you create On-Demand provider where you like to on-board the service.
Note: If you on-board the service to Source Marketplace, then you have to follow the Sourcing Service to Target Marketplace steps,

2nd Drop-down: Select Dstore or Content Provider Name

  • Select the On-Demand provider of the service that you would like to on-board.
Note: If you select the wrong Marketplace than the On-Demand provider will not list out in the drop-down.

3rd Drop-down: Select Importing Environments Code Base

  • Select the code base as Orion.

4th Button: File Path

  • Upload the .jsc files from your local machine (Please use the certified .jsc files provided by Jamcracker Support team).
  • Once all the entries are added, hit Parse.

  • Click Import to continue.

  • Don’t make any changes, just go to bottom the page and click Submit, you will see a confirmation message.

Your service is successfully imported to selected Marketplace.

Approving the Service and Updating the Price

Once the service is successfully imported.

  1. Login to the marketplace and navigate to Administration > Service Management page.
  2. Select the service and click Approve Selected.

(or)

  • Click Review and then click Approve.

OR

In case if you want to make changes to the service, you can edit the service and make any changes (like changing logo, description)
Note:
  • If you have imported the service to Source Marketplace then follow the “Sourcing service to Target Marketplace”.
  • If you have directly imported the service to Target Marketplace then you can skip “Sourcing service to Target Marketplace” steps and follow Resell the service to store.
  • For SaaS service edit the service offers and update the Pricing Information tan (Unit Price Description, Minimum Quantity, Unit Price Quantity, Static Quantity, Subscription Billing Cycle, Setup Fee, Pro-rate, Vendor, Wholesale and Minimum retail price)

Source Service to Target Marketplace

(Skip this step if you have already imported service into Target Marketplace)

Once the service is imported and approved in Source Marketplace you have to Source it to Target Marketplace to resell the service to the store,

Pre-request:

Before sourcing the service, Source Marketplace admin has to provide permission to source the service to Target Marketplace.

  1. Login to Source Marketplace using your administrator credentials.
  2. Navigate to Administration > Service Management page.
  3. Edit the service that you are going to source.
  4. Navigate to Activities tab and select the Source (Target Marketplace list shown in the list).

  5. Select the Marketplace and click Save.

Steps to Source:

  1. Login to the Marketplace using your administrator credentials.
  2. Navigate to My Company > My Services page and click Add Service and select source service.

  3. Click Source Service, this will display a list of services available in Source Marketplace, select the service and offer required and proceed.

  4. For SaaS service, update the pricing (Wholesale and Minimum Retail Price) and click Save and then click Next to continue.

Now follow the steps to complete the sourcing,

Service Information:

  1. For the very first time give unique name for service (ex: add 1 in the prefix “eg: 1 OFFICE 365please revert the service name after completed the sourcing)
  2. Upload logo and SLA and click Save & Next to continue.

2. Offers:
Note: Please note that do not edit the offers while sourcing the service. Click Next to continue.

If you would like to change the offer information, complete the sourcing and then make any changes related the offer (updating JSON for SaaS, Pricing information for SaaS services)

3. Activities:

On this tab, you can allow or restrict stores to resell the service.

4. Resource:

Upload Collateral for the service if any. If not, click Finish to complete.

Reselling the Service to Stores

  1. Login to the Marketplace URL with Store Admin’s credentials (Reseller/Enterprise).
  2. Navigate to Marketplace page and search for the service that you want to resell. Click Resell to resell the service to the store.

  3. A pop-up window is displayed, to resell multiple service click Continue Browsing Services or click Pending Resells to complete the resell process.

  4. Select all the services snf click Complete Resells.

  5. A pop-up window is displayed. Click Go to Catalog.

  6. On the Catalog page Click Edit Service.

  7. For SaaS service, enable In Catalog check box and update the Retail Price, and click Save.

By selecting below option,

  • Hide From Customer (Customer will not be able to see the service in the store catalogue.)
  • Do not allow Order More (Selecting this will restrict Order More for the service for all customers.)
  • Do not allow Order Less (Selecting this will restrict Order Less for the service for all customers.)
  • Content-only service offer (Allow customers to enquire about the service, but not purchase it.)

Note: If the store is CMS enabled, please follow the CMS Configuration document and go through ‘Service SYNC configuration’ steps to sync the services to CMS.
